Admittedly, this post is a week late for Earth Day, but really, every day should be Earth Day, right?  Whether you’re a full-fledged environmentalist or you think global warming is a bunch of hoo-hah, it certainly can’t hurt to be mindful of our environment and to teach students this as well.  Clearly, taking care of our planet should be a high priority for all of us.

With this in mind, Common Sense Media has posted a list of Excellent Ecology and Environmental Science Apps, Games, and Websites.  It is just the kind of list that you might be looking for when a teacher or consultant comes to you asking for a list of online environmentally-oriented sites for students.

If your students don’t have access to mobile devices, this list includes enough websites to give you a wide variety of choices. For every website or app, the grade range, price is provided. Plus, you can check out their rating system: learning ratings and teacher ratings.

This is a great website to share with science teachers and science consultants in your board…before they ask for it!
