Battle of the Books is an exciting event wherein teams of high school students from Anglophone schools test their detailed knowledge of 12 young adult books. Students face-off at the school, Board or Association, and island-wide levels as they compete to be the winner of the Ultimate Battle title. Organized by school librarians and library technicians, and held at the LBPSB since 2013, “Battle of the Books” has steadily grown each year to include an increasing number of schools, both public and private, from across the Island of Montreal. It is a fun and engaging way for students and their families to get excited about reading while also building confidence and team work skills.
