The LBPSB “Battle of the Books”, a competition designed to foster reading excitement, launches its 3rd season in October. This competition is open to all our grade 7 – 10 students. School teams answer detailed questions about characters and plot by identifying the book and the author. Regular rounds are followed by lightning rounds, in which each team has aScreen Shot 2015-04-13 at 4.56.21 PM chance to amass points by correctly answering as many questions as possible in two minutes.

The winning teams from each of our high schools will meet in one of two BoB regional finals on April 1st. The top four teams will square off at the School Board’s head office at 7 p.m. on April 16th. Guest moderators will insure a lively evening! The public is invited to watch this very exciting event.

This event is organized by the LBPSB high school librarians proudly supported by the Board’s Educational Services Department and The Blue Metriopolis Festival.
