Learning to Code in the Library

Block B Session 11:10 AM – 12:10 PM

Digital literacy is essential to be a full participant in our society. The library can be an ideal place for students to acquire it, and a well-informed librarian can be an invaluable guide to where to start in developing this 21st century skill. This session will introduce participants to proven resources that work well in both library and school settings and create durable communities of practice. Led by the Montreal based non-profit, Kids Code Jeunesse which oversees Code Club Canada, the session will also include a short hands on coding session. It is recommended that you bring your own laptop.
