Vincent Massey Collegiate and the Learning Commons in Evolution
Block C Session 1:10 – 2:10 PM
Vincent Massey Collegiate High School in the EMSB has been going through a number of changes in recent years. Principal Franca Cristiano and Librarian Stephanie Germain will give an over view of the background and the steps that have been made to change the school’s library towards a learning commons model. It was, and still is, an evolving process; the way in which all the different partners have been involved in planning and execution, the challenges of collaborating on busy schedules, how to help the on-going change in the school culture towards the library over many years, what next steps to be taken, dreams / hopes for the future as the VMC library continues to evolve. There will be a Q&A part of the presentation to allow members of the audience to pose their questions as well.
