Graphic Novels: What Makes Them so Popular?

Graphic novels fly off the library shelves. What makes them so popular? Harness your students’ interest in this popular genre and explore some of its features. This Quebec Reading Connection (QRC) workshop will also show how picture books and graphic texts share similar elements. In addition, participants will be given the opportunity to look at some graphic texts.

Tiffany Clarke has been working with books for the past 14 years. She is a school librarian at Lester B. Pearson School Board, currently on loan of service to Québec Reading Connection (MEES).
