English Language Book Talk
Block D Session 2:15 – 3:00 PM
We will be discussing recently released Children’s books for elementary and high school libraries. Picture books, novels and graphic novels, all our favourites will be shared. There will be an emphasis on First Nations and Canadian books.
Bios:
Angus and Megan Byers grew up surrounded by books, literally. Maya Byers, their mother started Babar Books in 1986 when they were toddlers. As a part of a family-owned and operated children’s bookstore, they are committed to promoting literacy and a love of reading. Megan is manager of Babar Books and hosts a monthly teen advisory board. Angus is an artist and can be heard monthly on CBC Homerun recommending picture books and graphic novels.
