Here’s a fun one!  The Guardian has a photo gallery and an article on school libraries from around the world.

Interestingly enough, some of the libraries are in schools located in poor areas.  Private corporations and foundations were responsible for the renovation of these libraries.  While many of us cannot get the financial assistance to hire architects to totally re-do libraries in our schools, these photos are a wealth of ideas.

The article shows how school libraries in Great Britain and Australia are creatively adapting libraries to the library learning commons model, especially where technology is concerned.  Librarians in these schools report that their libraries are becoming a learning hub within their schools.
