The ABQLA has sent out its call for proposal for presentations for the 84th Annual ABQLA conference. This could be a great opportunity for any library personnel to share with others, and for them to also learn at the conference itself. ABQLA is pleased to invite members of the library and information professional community to submit conference proposals for their 84th annual conference to be held in Montreal on Wednesday, May 4th, 2016. The theme for this year’s conference is Libraries Moving Forward: Innovations that Work. The conference will emphasize practical strategies and methods that can help librarians and information specialists ensure their services remain responsive to their communities’ needs in a rapidly changing world.

 

The ABQLA Conference Committee welcomes presentations that exhibit creative, out-of-the box ideas and practical approaches on topics relevant to library and information professionals. We are particularly interested in innovative collaborations, designs, processes, and projects related to services, programs, instructional sessions, or library space that have benefited the library community and beyond. Other topics that address the conference theme in some aspect are also welcome.

L’ABQLA est heureuse d’inviter les membres de la communauté des bibliothécaires et professionnels de l’information à soumettre des propositions de communications pour son 84e Colloque annuel qui se tiendra à Montréal le mercredi 4 mai 2016. Le thème cette année est Bibliothèques en mouvement : Innover avec succès. Le colloque mettra l’emphase sur les stratégies et méthodes concrètes pouvant aider les bibliothécaires et professionnels de l’information à s’assurer que leurs services continuent à répondre aux besoins de leurs communautés dans un monde qui change rapidement.

 

Le comité du colloque de l’ABQLA sollicite des communications qui proposent des démarches originales, créatives et pratiques sur des thèmes relatifs à la communauté des bibliothécaires et des professionnels des milieux documentaire. Le comité de sélection accordera une attention particulière aux présentations qui portent sur des collaborations, des designs, des processus ou des projets innovants par le biais de services, d’une programmation, de formations ou d’espaces physiques qui ont eu un apport bénéfique pour leur communauté. Les propositions traitant d’autres sujets, mais qui s’inscrivent dans le thème général du colloque sont également les bienvenues.
